Rotary believes "Pride of Workmanship" – the sense of responsibility to do a job well, to strive for excellence of service and to give of oneself to their chosen vocation - is one of the greatest intangible resources which needs to be recognized in our working community. As a highlight of the celebration, awards are presented to selected persons for their contribution in a particular field. This award is known as the “Pride of Workmanship Award”. It is dedicated to those persons in both the public and private sectors who by nature of their vocation provide key services to their community. This year the awards were presented to the Air Traffic Controllers of the Civil Aviation Department. Here they are with their awards as presented by Rotary Club President Alex MacDonald on October 23, 2014 at a dinner held in their honour at Hilton Barbados.
